68 In every family, parents often wonder what jobs their children will choose when they grow up. Will they become a teacher and teach children new things? Or maybe a nurse who can look after ill people? Some parents hope their child will be an engineer who can create amazing structures. Others dream of seeing their child as a doctor who heals the sick or a lawyer who defends people in court. No matter what job they choose, parents always wish for their children to be happy and successful in their careers. What about you? What do you want to be when you grow up? Many people choose ordinary yet essential jobs that play a big role in our daily lives. A farmer works hard every day and can grow vegetables that we eat. When the crops are ready, they bring fresh produce to our markets. A tailor can cut and sew fabric to make clothes that fit perfectly. When you need a new outfit, the tailor is there to help. A hairdresser can cut, style, and dye hair to help people look their best. When you want a new look, the hairdresser is ready with scissors and creativity. These jobs may seem ordinary, but they are very important to our communities.
